Heartland Small Animal Rescue

Description

Heartland Small Animal Rescue was originally founded to rescue and rehome small animals like rabbits, ferrets and cats. We rescue animals from local shelters that are in danger of being euthanized. We, also, take in surrendered animals that can not be cared for by their owners any longer. In 2010, we began rescuing dogs. We currently have more dogs in our rescue than any other species. We have grown over 500% in the last two years. In 2012 we adopted out over 550 dogs. We have expanded our rescue and now take in more exotic animals such as geckos, turtles, hedgehogs, and sugar gliders.
